Our Ovington Nursery

The Ovington Nursery has a lovely setting overlooking the Tyne Valley in Northumberland, situated between Ovington Village and the A69.

Here we specialise in  Herbaceous plants, many of which can be seen in our established DISPLAY BORDERS, which are open all year round. We grow many of these plants ourselves. The sales area is also stocked with a range of shrubs and alpines with a selection of composts, fertilisers, pesticides and weedkillers.  

PRIMROSES COMING ON VERY NICELY- 95p each or 6 for £5.00. We also have some lovely Double Primroses in a 13cm pot at £3.29 each or 2 for £6.00

In the spring our greenhouses are full of bedding, basket and patio plants which are grown in quality compost with the addition of slow release fertiliser where we feel plants will benefit. We also produce an expanding range of young vegetable plants ready for planting out with our young Tomato Plants regarded as some of the strongest in the North. In late Summer and Autumn we move onto winter and early Spring Bedding Plants with our Greenhouses filled with over 2,000 Cyclamen -a spectacular site when they are in flower. Primroses follow the Cyclamen along with Senetti, a recent crop we have tried and have had great successs with. It is at our Ovington Nursery that all the Dahlia Propagation takes place with plants been transprted to Heddon in readiness for despatching.
