Chrysanthemums

We are pleased to be able to introduce 5 new Garden Spray Varieties from Rod Fox (known for the Southway and Myss varieties that he and Bill Bahn introduced at Southway Nurseries. They are Hoagy, Paloma Redeye, Paloma Regent, Myss Dorothy and Terracotta. Also a new October flowering Intermediate, Geoff Aird (15b), from Harry Lawson. Please see the relevant sections for details.

We have been supplying Chrysanthemums Rooted cuttings since 1928. Our range now includes almost 250 varieties which can be used for Cut Flowers, Exhibiting or Garden Display. Chrysanthemum Rooted Cuttings are supplied Nationwide via our Mail Order Service, or may be collected from the Nursery.

Prices quoted are for strong rooted cuttings which are ready for dispatch from FEBRUARY to END MAY (except for Korean, Rubellum, Garden Mums, Fantasy and Greenhouse Singles which will be supplied from mid March). Plants will generally be supplied according to the facilities for protection from frost that the customer has available as follows:-

NO PROTECTION – not before end April in the South. Not before early May in the Midlands , North of England and in Scotland .

COLD GREENHOUSE- Not before mid March in the South and begining of April in the North

COLD FRAME. – Not before the beginning of April in the South and mid April in the North.

HEATED GREENHOUSE – Not before the middle of February.

Cuttings are taken to order – so please allow a minimum of 5 weeks to process your order.

We will have a range of plants available for sale in our plant centre from Early March onwards. These will be available as individually potted plants as well as in packs of 6 different varieties eg 6 named varieties for exhibition and as packs of 12- 4 varieties 3 of each.

EXPORT : We are able to export Chrysanthemums, Dahlia mini plants and Pot Tubers to Europe and Pot Tubers only to those countries outside the EU that allow imports. In some cases an import permit is required and in all cases a Phytosanity Certificate is required which is issued by our Governments Plant Health Department. Our web site does not allow for the extra carriage charges associated with ordering from outside the UK so we may have to get in touch to take additional payment! WE therefore request that you Please e-mail with a list of varities you are interested in and we will confirm prices and requrements. As a guide:-

CARRIAGE CHARGES TO EUROPE (EU Member countries only)- Dahlia Mini Plants and Chrysanthemums-sent by AIRSURE with delivery within2-4 days. 1-12 plants £9.95, 13-24 plants £13.95, 25-50 plants £19.95. Maximum number of plants sent this way is 50. We can also send by International Courier with delvivery within 1-2days. Cost of this will be £30.00 for up to 35 plants and £45.00 for up to 100 plants.
